The Team

The type of culture that Mongrel FX strives to emulate is one from the Open Source community. In the past several years of researching technologies that can make this vision of opening a animation production studio in New York a reality, one pervading constant is the very open, inclusive and giving nature of the community of artists and developers surrounding the application for which these user groups were formed.

This application is Blender. the premiere open source 3D modeling and animation package that rivals some of the “industry standard” applications being used today in terms of features, speed and capabilities. It is the tool of choice for Mongrel FX LLC.
